Data Rights Request
Individuals may have certain rights regarding their personal information, subject to applicable data protection and privacy laws. These rights vary depending on your place of residence and the legal framework that applies, but generally allow you to understand, control, and manage how your personal information is collected, used, and shared.
Your Data Protection Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have one or more of the following rights:
- Right of Access
You may request confirmation as to whether personal information about you is being processed and, if so, request access to that personal information, including details about how and why it is used. - Right to Rectification
You may request correction of inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated personal information that we maintain about you. - Right to Withdrawal of Consent
Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to the withdrawal. - Right to Deletion
You may request the deletion of your personal information, subject to certain legal or contractual exceptions, including where retention is required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements. - Right to Restrict or Object to Processing
You may request that we restrict or stop processing your personal information in certain circumstances, including objecting to profiling, automated decision-making, or targeted advertising where permitted by law. - Right to Data Portability
You may request that your personal information be provided to you, or to another organization at your direction, in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format where technically feasible. - Right to Information About Automated Decisions
You may request information about the existence of automated decision-making processes that significantly affect you and, where applicable, request human review of such decisions. - Right to Opt Out of Targeted Advertising and Profiling
You may opt out of certain forms of profiling, interest-based advertising, or data sharing for advertising-related purposes, subject to applicable legal requirements. - Right to Lodge a Complaint
You have the right to file a complaint with a competent data protection authority in your jurisdiction if you believe your personal information has been processed unlawfully.
How to Submit a Data Rights Request
To exercise any of the rights described above, you must submit a Data Rights Request. Requests must be made in writing and include sufficient information to allow us to verify your identity and understand the scope of your request.
Your request should include:
- Your full name
- Contact information (such as email address)
- A clear description of the right(s) you wish to exercise
- Any additional information reasonably required to verify your identity
We may request further information if necessary to confirm your identity or to clarify your request. This is done to protect your personal information from unauthorized access.
Authorized Agents
Where permitted by law, you may designate an authorized agent to submit a data rights request on your behalf. We may require:
- Written authorization signed by you, and
- Verification of your identity and the agent’s authority
Requests submitted by authorized agents will be processed in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
Response Time and Limitations
We will respond to verified requests within the timeframe required by applicable law. In some cases, we may extend the response period where permitted, for example if the request is complex or involves multiple data sets.
Please note that certain requests may be denied or partially fulfilled if:
- The request conflicts with legal obligations
- The information is subject to legal privilege
- The request would adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others
- The information cannot be deleted or modified for technical or security reasons
Where a request cannot be fully satisfied, we will provide an explanation to the extent required by law.
No Discrimination
You will not be discriminated against for exercising your data protection rights. This includes denial of services, different pricing, or reduced service quality solely as a result of submitting a data rights request, except where permitted by applicable law.
Ongoing Control
You may also manage certain privacy preferences, including marketing communications and tracking technologies, through available privacy settings or preference tools, where offered. Exercising a data rights request does not prevent you from continuing to use such tools independently.
